We are half way through our very exciting programme of events aimed at getting hospital and community pharmacists together.  Earlier in the year the Local Practice Forum of the RPS ( that’s  what replaced the old branch structure for those who went to them) approached us to help them put on something that would attract more people from more sectors of the profession.

Qwizdom and Taxis

It is a lovely sunny evening and I have just returned from an engagement event with the shadow CCG Calleva. They did a nice presentation which included a film of their vision and then asked us all sorts of questions which we had to answer using the hand held Qwizdom devices while the results appeared on the screen in front of us. I am not a fan of this style of engagement as they never seem to present me with the answer I want to give as one of the options.

There is more to the NHS than football

What is it with healthcare professionals and football analogies? Did I miss the presentation training that said try to compare everything to a game of football. I have no wish to be sexist and I know that many many women are world experts on the beautiful game but generally speaking we girls rarely reach for the off-side rule when wanting to explain something is not always understood by all.
