There is no end to the awards for HLP!!!

The awards for HLP just keep coming, I can hardly keep up! I feel like I am turning into a celebrity journalist trying to update the web site and find photos of the glittering occasions.

I spend so much time talking about HLP I forget that it does not exist everywhere and not everyone gets it. For me it is such a fantastic concept and such a natural progression for community pharmacy that I can’t imagine a future where it isn’t something that all pharmacies have an opportunity to achieve. With Portsmouth there and Southampton and IOW well on their way it is only natural for pharmacies in Hampshire to want to join in.

I had some very useful discussions this week regarding HLP in Hampshire and I am very optimistic. The LPC intends to press ahead with doing all it can to provide pharmacies with the opportunity to build their teams and get the skills they need ready to go.  We had another leadership event this week and I managed to drop in for an hour to meet the attendees. There was a lot of enthusiasm as there always is and Debs showed us an inspirational video about what motivates teams, it is not the money,  it’s the self determination that matters.
