LPC Survey - Results for October

Back in August   the LPC conducted a telephone survey of 11% of community pharmacies in Hampshire and IOW. The purpose was to raise awareness about the LPC and establish the level of readiness to deliver NMS.

We have repeated the survey and spoken to another 37 pharmacies to see what has changed and to track the progress of NMS

The questions we wanted answers to this time were;

Portsmouth Healthy Living Pharmacy –Award Updates

NHS Portsmouth scooped the public sector PR award from the Wessex branch of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) at a glittering ceremony this month.

The primary care trust landed the top prize for its Healthy Living Pharmacy campaign, which launched a new model of wellbeing service in pharmacy. The project is now underway on the Isle of Wight, in Southampton and in 20 path finder sites across the country representing 30 PCTs.

Hampshire Pharmacists on new Pharmacy and Public Health Forum

The Membership of the Pharmacy and Public Health Forum, has been released by the Chair, Professor Richard Parish, Chief Executive of the Royal Society for Public Health. The establishment of the forum was announced by Ministers in July 2011 and Professor Parish was asked to chair.

Order Lines open for the Quit Kit 3 2012 campaign

The Department of Health is inviting pharmacies across England to distribute Quit Kits to smokers in a nationwide campaign running from January to March next year. These kits will contain some practical tools and advice which are designed to help people quit smoking.
